How to Draw Blueberries in 6 Steps
This guide show how to draw blueberries in a small bunch surrounded by leaves. It consists of six easy steps.

Blueberries have fairly uncomplicated shapes without too many small details making them reasonably easy to draw. This guide show how to create such a drawing step by step and how to give the berries their characteristic look. You can see the main stages of the tutorial in the preview image above, however, there are additional examples shown below to make it even easier to follow along.
Start the tutorial in pencil and be sure to make light lines that are easy to erase in case you need to make a correction. Darken them later on with a black pen or marker once you have all parts of the blueberry bunch outlined.
For drawing other kinds of berries in a similar style see:
Step 1 – Draw the Outer Shapes of Each of the Blueberries

Begin the drawing by outlining three of the blueberries. Make them fairly round in shape but not perfectly so. This way they will appear more natural.
First, draw the blueberry that will be in the middle of the bunch. Next, draw two slightly smaller berries above it. These should be partially hidden behind the middle berry.

Finally, draw add more berries for a total of five. Position them on the sides of the bunch. Make these as large as the first berry and draw them partially hidden behind the initial group.
Step 2 – Draw the Outer Shapes of the Leaves

To make the blueberry bunch more interesting add some leaves.
Draw the leaves sticking out from behind the berries. Make their shapes wider as they go out from the berries and then narrower again roughly past the middle of each blade. Give the leaves pointy tips and draw some of these to be slightly curved.
For drawing different type of a leaf see:

Step 3 – Draw the Tips of the Berries (the Calyces)

Draw the tips of the berries starting with the one in the middle. Position it in the center of the main outline. Make this one fairly round like the berry itself. Draw the tips of the other berries close to one side of each of their outlines. This will make it look like those berries are pointing in different directions. Also, make these tips oval in shape to show that each one is being viewed on an angle.

After finishing the above, draw a second similar but much smaller shape inside each of the outlines.

Draw five “petals” around the tip of each blueberry to create star-like shapes. All together these parts of blueberries are called the calyces. Unlike a star, make the lines that define the “petals” slightly curved or wavy.
Step 4 – Draw the Leaf Details

To finish the line drawing draw the veins of the leafs. Start with the large ones down their middles. Afterwards, add some smaller veins branching out from these.
Once you’ve added the leaf veins you can trace over your drawing with a thin black marker or darken your lines by pressing harder on the pencil.
Step 5 – Color the Blueberry Drawing

An easy way to color this particular drawing is with pencil crayons.
Before coloring the blueberries first outline a small oval shaped reflections near the top of each berry. Either do this very lightly with a regular pencil or use a blue crayon.

Next, make the blueberries a solid blue and the leaves a solid green. Follow this up by lightly going over the reflections with blue as well. Blueberries are generally not that reflective so you don’t want the reflections looking overly bright.
Step 6 – Add Some Shading to the Blueberries & Leaves

After applying some color you may notice the drawing looks a little flat. Fix this by adding a little bit of shading. Do this by making some leaves a darker green and by making the tips and “petals” of the blueberries a darker blue. Make “petals” slightly darker than the berries. Make the tips even darker and the small inner parts of the tips the darkest. You can also optionally make the three blueberries on the bottom of the bunch very slightly darker than those on top.
You can create the darker variants of the colors by pressing harder on the pencil crayons and by also lightly going over the colors with black or a regular pencil.
Conclusion – Blueberries Can be Fairly Easy to Draw
This tutorial shows how to create a drawing of a small bunch of blueberries with leaves. Generally, the shapes of blueberries are not very complex making them reasonably easy to draw. This can be especially so when you have a detailed guide such as this one to help you along. Hopefully, you’ve found the provided instructions and examples easy to follow.
