How to Draw Cranberries (8 Simple Steps)
This guide shows how to draw cranberries step by step. It provides easy to follow examples an simple instructions.

In this case the cranberries are drawn in a small bunch of five berries. They are also surrounded by some leaves. The main outlines of the berries and leaves as well as each of their smaller parts are drawn one set at a time making each step very straightforward.
The guide is designed in a way where you don’t necessarily have to do any erasing. However, you should still start the drawing in pencil just so you can erase any potential mistakes. Also, keep your lines light until you have all parts of the cranberries outlined. You can then darken them before coloring.
Step 1 – Draw the Outline of the Cranberries

Start by outlining the main shape of each berry. As already mentioned, in this example there are five berries in total. First, draw the one in the middle of the bunch. Next, draw the two below it. Afterwards, draw the berries slightly above and to the sides of the center berry. Make the center berry fairly round because it’s facing towards the viewer. Make all of the other berries slightly oval as they are facing more sideways. Also, try and draw them to be slightly different from one another so that the bunch looks more natural.
Step 2 – Draw the Outlines of the Leaves

Sticking out from behind the berries draw some leaves. Again, there are five of these in total with two on top, two on the sides and one on the bottom. Similar to the berries, make the leaves oval in shape. However, make their outlines narrower than those of the berries.
Step 3 – Outline the Tips of the Berries

Outline the tips of the berries. Similar to their main shapes make the tip of the center berry fairly round because like the berry itself it’s facing forward. Make the tips of the other berries more oval. Because these berries are facing more sideways in relation to the viewer, their tips are seen on an angle and will appear narrower.
Step 4 – Draw the “Petals” Around the Tips

Along the inner side of the tip of each berry draw four petal-like shapes (as shown in the example). Combined these should create a shape similar to a four point start.
Step 5 – Draw the Centers of the Tips

Inside each tip draw a smaller outline of it’s center. These areas should have roughly the same shapes as the main tip outlines but be significantly smaller.
Step 6 – Draw the Leaf Veins

Running through the middle of each leaf draw a large vein (the midrib). Afterwards, draw some smaller veins branching out from these.
Once you’ve added all of the veins trace over your drawing with darker lines. You can either do it with the pencil or with a thin black marker.
Step 7 – Outline the Light Reflections on Each Berry

Before coloring outline a little reflection on each berry. Position these along their upper left areas and make them oval in shape. Either outline each reflection very lightly in regular pencil on in red.
Step 6 – Color the Cranberries

Color the berries and leaves different variants of red and green. Make the berries along the top a lighter red and the berries on the bottom slightly darker. Do the same for the leaves.
When coloring the berries leave the reflections outlined in the previous step white. Afterwards, lightly go over them with red as well so that they don’t appear overly bright. The reflections will help show that the cranberries have fairly smooth skin.
Conclusion
This guide show how to draw a small bunch of cranberries with some leaves. Although the drawing has a good amount of detail, overall, it’s fairly simple. Each step shows how to draw a different set of the various parts of the cranberries to make it really easy to follow along. Hopefully you’ve found that to be the case.
